School lunch is a key part of a child’s healthy development, mentally and physically. That’s why we started SoloFresco. Studies show that a child’s relationship to food develops early, so it is crucial to ensure that it’s a healthy one. The Mediterranean diet is key to achieving that goal.

The idea is influenced by a school lunch program, that started in Northern Italy during the 1970’s. SoloFresco was the first to introduce the Mediterranean diet guidelines in the United States’ schools. We are now glad to serve our healthful menu to over 40 million happier students annually, from New York City to the largest school districts in the country.

We work with school districts to facilitate the creative use of USDA commodities. Each recipe is created with dedication and passion by our in-house chef and tested to perfection by our team of specialists and kids. All of our products are in line with the Nation School Lunch Program.

SoloFresco is a National member of the SNA (School Nutrition Association).

SoloFresco was proud to introduce United Flavors, which brings original recipes from around the world into the lunchroom. United Flavors is inspired by the same principles that make SoloFresco a singular presence in the school lunch program market, using fresh, non-GMO, antibiotic-free ingredients that are always free of preservatives and artificial flavors. Because we believe that a delicious meal should only come from real ingredients.

Our international favorites include juicy chicken dumplings, flavorful empanadas with Latin dipping sauce, and tasty whole grain ravioli in marinara sauce.
